Collection: Nagajuban (Inner Kimono)

Nagajuban is traditionally worn underneath the kimono. It is designed to protect the kimono and help the whole silhouette sit smoothly so the designs are often quietly beautiful, revealed only in movement: a private kind of elegance.

How to wear: At CityZen, we love wearing nagajuban as a piece in its own right: a lightweight gown for home, an easy layer over jeans in warmer weather, and even as beach or resort wear when you want something effortless but special.

About the size: Nagajuban are made shorter than kimono, roughly in the 120–140cm range and usually don’t need tailoring - just style them as-is and shape the look with an obijime or any other belt.
