Vintage Men's Nagajuban with Hand-Drawn Tigers and Waves (Reversible)

A blue-grey men's nagajuban, likely from the mid to late Showa era, around the 1960s to 1980s. Two tigers are drawn by hand across the back, one crouched low over breaking surf and the other roaring up towards a waterfall, with bamboo leaves scattered around them. The white of the waves is worked in thick, raised strokes that catch the light against the flat blue ground. The reverse is a soft olive, carrying hand-drawn panels of a landscape in ink and soft colour - a very different mood from the tigers on the face.

Traditionally, a nagajuban is worn under the kimono.

Тhe piece is double-sided. Perfect as a soft robe at home or by the pool, or worn loose over jeans for an easy, casual look.

А belt (obi jime) is not included but can be purchased separately.
