Collection: Summer (Sheer) Kimono

Traditionally worn in Japan’s summer months, vintage summer kimono are exceptionally rare - a seasonal luxury once worn only by those who could afford pieces made specifically for summer. Light and elegant, they’re typically sheer, usually crafted from silk or linen and are often hand-painted or hand-dyed. Today, they make an effortless kind of luxury: at home, worn like a weightless gown to elevate everyday life (especially in the grey winter months), and in warmer weather as resort wear, thrown over jeans, styled for the beach, or worn for an evening soaré with that unmistakable quiet Japanese grace.

All summer kimonos are beautifully long and full-length - typically around 155–170cm (please check the product details for each item's specific size information).
We offer tailoring services so the length can be adjusted to your preference for a small fee. If you’d like this service, please get in touch with us.
