This cream yellow silk furisode is a formal, long-sleeved kimono and a truly luxurious piece, likely from the mid Showa era. The soft silk has a subtle woven ground pattern and a wonderfully soft, luxurious feel. Across it, large butterflies, chrysanthemums and flowing water are worked in orange, red, green and black, with details outlined in fine gold-thread embroidery. Inside, it is fully lined in white silk with a soft cream yellow at the hem. A furisode like this was traditionally worn by young women for special occasions, and it carries that same sense of celebration.
Wear it as a luxurious house robe to relax in, or style it as a statement piece.
*The belt (obi jime) is not included but can be purchased separately.
