A sheer black summer haori (a light kimono jacket), likely dating to the mid-to-late Showa era (around the 1970s-1980s), made from a fine, gauze-like openwork fabric for the hottest months. Small clusters of foliage are embroidered low across the back in black thread with soft pink accents, understated and scattered rather than bold. This kind of transparent haori was worn as an airy, see-through layer over a summer kimono to stay cool. Worn open, it drapes beautifully and adds a quietly elegant, almost weightless finishing touch to any outfit.
A light jacket for the warmer months or the perfect statement piece to complete any outfit.
Haori ties (haori himo) are included and are handmade from silk.
