A black kimono, carrying five family crests and a design that rises from the hem, likely from the mid to late Showa era, around the 1960s to 1980s. A pair of pheasants is hand embroidered in silver, white and gold across the lower front and back, set against a coral panel that breaks into the black ground. A black kimono with five crests is the most formal a woman can wear, kept for weddings and the most important family occasions.
Wear it as a luxurious house robe to relax in, or style it as a statement piece.
A belt (obi jime) is not included but can be purchased separately.
