This vintage summer kimono features a vivid pink base with an all-over mizutama (water ripple) pattern, subtly woven in jacquard for a textured, flowing effect. The design evokes the movement of water, giving the piece a sense of graceful dynamism.
Summer kimonos are a rare find - fewer were made because they were a luxury item which is why finding a good vintage summer kimono feels so special.
On the upper back, a single family crest (ichimon) shows a Fusen-kiri (浮線桐), a stylized kiri (paulownia) crest rendered with soft, flowing lines. This symbol was historically used as a family crest by imperial and high-ranking families.
This lightweight kimono is ideal as a house robe, statement summer tunic, or a beach gown.
